Burn Permits

You can obtain burning permits at the station or on the forest service Website

You are only permitted to burn naturally occurring vegetation on your property between 8am and 6pm. Please insure it is a burn day the best way to do this is by calling air pollution control at 828-250-6777

Most forest fires in our region start as a result of untended controlled fires or unsafe burning habits. Remember to have a clear area around the area you are burning in. Have a water hose available and never leave a burning fire untended even a smoldering one!
